    This excursion is around 7 hours at sea, and approximately 9-10 hours in total including transportation.

    Boats leave for Saona island from Bayahibe, a small fishing town about a one hour drive from the resorts in Punta Cana

    Yes, round-trip transportation is included in the quoted price.

    Normally the menu is Lobster, shrimp, spaghetti pomodoro, barbecued chicken, grilled pork, vegetables, rice, salad, coffee, cake. But please note there is no Lobster served between March 1-June 30 due to the Nationwide Lobster ban for conservation.

    There are no docks in the area, you will be transported in a small boat to your catamaran.

    The pickup time is normally between 8 and 8:30 am.

    The drive from Punta Cana to Bayahibe, which is the jump off point for Saona island, is about 1 hour. The brand new Coral Highway now connects both destinations on a modern 4 lane thoroughfare.

    There are two options to reach Saona island: motorboat, which takes about 40 minutes or catamaran which takes about 1 hour 30 minutes.  Unless you've chartered your own private catamaran, all Saona group excursions will include one way via motorboat and one way via catamaran. All boats leave from the town of Bayahibe which is the jump off point for Saona island.

The trip to Saona combines two of the most sought after activities for tourists to the Dominican Republic: getting out on a boat and spending time on the beach; preferably the island kind!
